Exhibited at the “Women in Art London Biennale” 2025, award winner.
In Flamenco, the intense red immediately gave me a sense of heat and passion. As the reactions developed, the sweeping blues, golds, turquoise and flashes of white began to feel almost like figures in motion — twisting, turning and moving across the surface. It reminded me of the drama, rhythm and expressive movement of flamenco, which ultimately gave the painting its name.
For me, Flamenco captures a moment when chemistry, movement and chance come together. The resin finish intensifies the colours and gives the surface a wonderful depth, allowing you to discover new details as you move around the painting.
