About this artwork
With Serendipity 02, I was particularly drawn to the unexpected relationships between the colours and the delicate cellular forms that appeared as the reactions developed. There are moments I could never have created deliberately, and those are often the parts of a painting that fascinate me most.
The title came from that feeling. Serendipity is finding something beautiful that you weren’t necessarily looking for. It reflects the way I work: part chemistry, part intuition and part chance.
Original, one-of-a-kind artwork, comes with signed authenticity certificate
